RBM wins with Marcel Lipp in Liedolsheim |
23.05.11 |
|
After Oschersleben, met last weekend the international elite of karting for the second race of the prestigious kart master in Liedolsheim, near Karlsruhe. A route that will test the material and the drivers - loved by some, hated by others...
|
|
|
The Bambini driver, Doureid Ghattas led this weekend his first miles on the demanding route that appears to be relatively difficult. Although "Dodo"in the course of the event grew more and more, it was this weekend, unfortunately only for a placement in the posterior third.
Also Marcel Hartmann in KF3 had expected more problems. The
last weekend in Liedolsheim was unfortunately not enough to compensate for the training deficit, so the young man from
Cologne was forced to go home.
For KF2 driver Marcel Lipp, however, it could not get any better in the "Asparagus country".Beginning with a SetUp still not great, the pilot of the RBM Official Racing Team had to satisfied with a P7 and P5. Just in time for the race on Sunday, "Lippi" was not to stop. The Tony / Vortex pilot already in Prefinale went to the podium and finished there, the 3rd Rank. In the final, it went forward again properly. After a good start, the veteran from Dormagen made pressure on his team mate at the top to do a fair and fast enough overtake and to take the lead. With the fastest lap and a comfortable advantage, the successful pilot RMB drove with control and without the support of team manager Ralf Braaz until have the victory in his hands.
With a total of 85 points, Marcel Lipp takes first place in the championship followed by his teammate with 72 points at the second place.
The statement of the winner of the race:
"I had hoped that after my long break I went on like old times full of success. But, now that I could take over after the second season racing the lead in the championship, I have to thank first and foremost my team manager and stepfather. Even in Oschersleben, it became clear that the material prepared by Ralf Braaz particular VORTEX engine is absolutely competitive. Having the opportunity to thank with a victory already here in Liedolsheim, makes me very happy.

|
Doureid Ghattas, Jan Schultes and Marc Schulz took the colors for the RBM Bambini, Marcel Hartmann started in the KF3.
Ghattas was in the time training in the lead, followed by Schultes and Schulz at the places 16 and 17. But he could do it better and it shows in the first race. Ghattas improved up to 7th Space and the teammates made the same and came to the places P11 and P14. The second race was no longer accompanied by luck. Because of contact with other drivers, Schultes could not improve. Ghattas was found even at the end of the field. Only Marc Schulz improve his position and finish in 11th place. Even the last race did not go better for Schultes and Schulz. But
Doureid Ghattas get a better position in the Final. With an inside rage, He managed to climb from the end of the line of departure, and with lots of overtaking he completed the fastest lap and reached the 6th place.
Marcel Hartmann has shown great progress in the juniors. The young rider from Cologne set his personal fastest lap and finished the qualifying race and all the other races with the 2nd Place. The driver is also in the championship at the 2nd place.

Sensational Comeback for Marcel Lipp
With Doureid Ghattas at the Bambini, Marcel Hartmann, Shun Iwamitsu and Julius Schäfer in KF3 and KF2-driver Marcel Lipp, who reached back into the race after 2 years of break, the RBM Official Racing Team presented a total of 5 drivers in the various classes.
The starting fields were very busy and had wrapped more than 60 pilots, so that the qualifications for the finals on Sunday have been expended on two heats...
|
|
|
Ghattas, Hartmann, Iwamitsu and Schäfer showed a good performance and increased continuously in the heats, but through some vigorous tussle in midfield, they missed all the possible margin finals.
Marcel Lipp celebrated after a long break from racing, a sensational comeback. Occupied starting field of KF2 was at the European level through the huge performance density. In qualifying the top 20 pilots moved in just 0.5 seconds, Lipp ranked in his group with a gap of 0.05 seconds and switch
on the 2nd position.
Was fought in the qualifying heats, but it went for a total of 46 KF2 pilots to the finals on Sunday. Also Marcel Lipp was sometimes off the track. But he could always find a connection to the top of the race and he qualified as confident with P4 and P7 for the Sunday race. The fact that the pilot of the RBM Official Racing Team drove the fastest lap of the race, recalled the old days of success and has confirmed the good performance of the driver and his Tony Kart / Vortex material. The final race becomes for the repatriated a successful trip. With two 4 th places, Marcel currently occupies the 2nd place in the Championship and, despite the long break, he has his usual success.
"For professional reasons, in the past two years I was able to drive only two guest starts. So it makes me even more pleasure to see that i still belong to the fastest. I started this race totally unprepared, and so I had a few little "bugs" in without which I would definitely be able to reach even further. The practice race was missing but containing a little bit. So I am very satisfied with the overall result and am really looking forward to the next round in Liedolsheim "... so the RBM driver after the victory ceremony.

RBM pilot Alex Wolters gets run victory in Kerpen |
18.01.11 |
|
On Sunday, the team manager Ralf Braaz sent at the start a total of 6 pilots in the categories KF2, KF3 and Bambini.
Even if the organizer from Netherland had some difficulty in organizations, the results were still good...
|
|
|
Jan Schulte and Doureid Ghattas are the newcomers in the Bambini class and for the former it was the debut race. At the end of the day, the result was very rewarding. Both races were run without incident or damage and Jan managed to recover a position. Teammate Doureid Ghattas improved from the midfield in the top 10 and finished the race after a great chase, with the positions 6 and 9.
In the KF3 class Started Shun Iwamitsu, the newcomer Marcel Hartmann and KF3 Promoted Julius Schäfer. Shun was again unlucky in this class. With loose axis in qualifying was not possible to run a good time, so he had to start from the back row and a top ranking was not possible. Marcel Hartmann had a viral infection, so he had to admit defeat with places 17 and 16. More gratifying it was for ex-Bambini Julius Schaefer, who challenged his first race in the KF3. In qualifying he managed to place 8 to jump into the top 10 and after the difficulties, the final was a real firework. From P11 coming, he pushed his way round by round and end his pursuit with an excellent third place.
KF2-Pilot Alex Wolters started for the first time for the RBM Official Racing Team in qualifying and attracts all the attention. The pilot had bad luck in R2 because he could not get more of P9, but the victory in the previouly race made him understand that his material can always fight for the victory.

RBM pilots burn breathtaking fireworks in Kerpen |
02.11.10 |
|
Even if, at the Kart-Elite´s Memorial of this year, the weather god has sent bad weather at the Erftlandring , the RBM´s Official Racing Team drivers knew successfully exploit their opportunities and provide their many visitors a breathtaking motor sport.
The newcomer Doureid Ghattas fought bravely in the strong Bambini starting field, which consisted mainly of experienced drivers. Already in the qualifying heats and in the two preliminary, the little Bonner moves constantly in the midfield and has confirmed its growth trend with a good 13th place in the final....
|
|
|
Junior Marcel Schnuch started after a break in the KF3. For the „Young Wild“ it went forward rough and at the observer was given the impression that not only in this class this weekend would have to be a crackdown harder. However, the RBM Official Racing Team driver never lose his fighting spirit and despite many bump, turners and other problems caused by the sporting indiscipline, the 15 year old Simmerath always arrived with the fastest time around the end on the starter field. The final fireworks were then ignited in the final race. From the 15th place, it went place to place forward. Schnuch was the fastest men on the field and took the command just before the end. But the seemingly secure victory stopped in the last curve. A little distraction caused him to stray from the track and threw it back to the 7th place.
Jason Kremer and Marcel Lipp went in the top-class KF2 at the start. While Kremer was the fastest in free practice, Lipp had to struggle initially to even with chassis problems. In his second race this year, Lipp has shown, however, with heating and sprint, not to forget anything, despite a long pause. Except for the excellent 5th place, the RBM driver had gone ahead despite the many disputes... a promising starting position for the decisive final. But the seemingly secure final position was good after the first few meters away. At the start a KF2-Pilot shot him of his Kart, so Lipp (i) had to park his Tony Kart with bent steering rod and tie rod bent after 20 meters on the lawn.
Jason Kremer had more luck. After a strong fastest time in qualifying, the young Bonner was involved more and more by highly motivated drivers, in disputes and passed in part to the end of the field. But Kremer could fortunately go on at all times. On his pursuit he showed all his skills and pushed by impressive maneuvers always returns to the top. In this way, the young Bonner was in the preliminary and in the sprint to the posts 2, 4 and 3, meeting aware of any risk, since there were only the final result. Here the pilot RBM Official Racing Team was no longer to stop. Despite renewed conflict and a quick chase, the successful Tony Kart driver was confident at the end of the lead and drove his second Memorial victory safely to the finish.
At this, the team manager Ralf Braaz:
"All our drivers have demonstrated the exceptional performance this weekend. Jason, for example: his successful karting career began years ago with a win under our careand has now now followed his last victory under the RBM flag and next year he will upgrade in the Formula class. Better he would not be able to adopt from the karting. We wish him for his motorsport career a lot of success and thank him and his family for good and pleasant cooperation."

Pole in qualification - failures in the races |
27.08.10 |
|
For the RBM Official Racing Team after a long time it was a home race on its traditional track in Kerpen as last weekend here, the third race of the prestigious ADAC Kart Masters was played. With Julius Schäfer (Bambini A), Shun Iwamitsu (KF3) and protege Jason Kremer (KF2)
|
|
|
rolled in the best possible conditions three fast drivers at the start.
Winter Cup winner Julius Schäfer at the Bambini A fought in all the races with blunt weapons.
The last year or so rapid Bambini pilot was due to its size and plenty of overweight chance and
change now in the KF3 class.
Shun Iwamitsu, the likeable young racer from Japan also had to fight hard. In the early rounds a
lways fast, then you realize in the course that will be filed on the condition still needs a little.
In the final, had the RBM Official Racing Team driver suffered to work, too an accidental failure.
Jason Kremer, always a guarantee for top positions, once again fulfilled the expectations of his
team boss. With sovereign best time, the young Bonner put his Tonykart in qualifying on pole
and started from the front row in the heats. But after a technical failure in the first round,
was also the good third place then, not preventing a start from the difficult rear midfield.
And as an evil seldom comes alone, the fast Bonner had to park his cart in the final after a
crash fault, after the initial phase in the meadow. |
